Maternity
clothing can be expensive but there are many options to help you save money to
put towards the sweet stroller you have your eye on!
Determine the necessity If you’re able to get clothing from family or friends
who are the same size as you, that is a good place to start and may mean you
just need to buy a few essentials.
Consignment stores People buy expensive maternity clothes and only wear them a handful of
times. The great thing about consignment is that the stores will only accept
clean and pressed clothing that is from familiar brands and in excellent
condition.
Buy off-season Buy clothing now for the next couple seasons, and save money. For
example, if it’s summer in your first trimester, you will need fall and winter
clothing. In the summer, clothing for winter is very inexpensive because it’s
not in demand.
Keep it simple You
don’t need to wear a different outfit every day, so you don’t have to fill your
closet with new clothing you’re only going to wear for a few months. Consider
versatile items that can be used for multiple outfits. For example, a cardigan
can be worn with a blouse and slacks for work, over a casual dress for Saturday
outings and with jean shorts and a tank top for hot days.
