Tightwad quick tip: best burgers

Ah-ha... Tightwad learned this the hard way when having some friends over last weekend and her burgers were less than perfect. Her lesson: Don't pre-salt your ground meat. Add the seasoning after you've made the patties, or they will be dry.
Other good tips: use meat that isn't lean; the extra fat adds juiciness. Make patties with a dimple in the centre because then you will know everything is cooked evenly as the patty shrinks as it cooks. Only flip burgers once, at the point when blood starts to show - and don't press them! Last tip: let the cooked patties rest so the juices can re-distribute throughout rather than pooling in the centre. Now just get the margaritas perfected and you are good to go!
