Tightwad quick tip: rinsing beans

Instead of rinsing beans in a colander - which tends to damage and split them - use a can opener to punch three holes into the bottom of the can, turn the can over and then open the top. Hold the full can of beans under cool water and let water run through it until the liquid draining from the bottom is clear. Then your salads will not only taste perfect, they'll look perfect!
