Another great idea, Jamie!

At our house we love to make kebabs on wooden skewers, and Tightwad knows it's best to soak them first so that they don't splinter into your meat. Typically we look around the kitchen for something to soak them in that is the right dimension and usually just end up soaking them horizontally in a dish. The good news here is that Jamie Oliver has shown Tightwad the light! He opens a bottle of wine and puts them in that. You are going to drink it anyway, right?
