
There is a use for that tea strainer that is archived at the back of your utensils drawer. Next time you want to pretty-up your baking with confectioner's sugar, put some in your strainer and tap to sift onto your goodies. The results will be finer, more evenly spaced powder - and baking almost too pretty to eat -

I also use the tea strainer to sift fine spices that I have ground myself... Cloves, all-spice, cinnamon...
