Tightwad quick tip: brown baggin' it

Let's face it - if you are brown bagging it you are already ahead of the game. The math is simple: a quick calculation is revealing. Even if your lunch out costs $5, that's $25 a week and translates to $1,300 a year. And, let's face it, who can get lunch for $5? It's probably more like $8 a day, which is, by the way, $2,080 a year. That's a lot of shoe money.

One thing to keep in mind when you are eyeing up the pre-portioned brie, those cute packs of 100 calorie cookies or individually packed spicy tuna lunches at the grocery store - pre-portioned food costs much more than regular or bulk portions. You go grrl.... go the extra step and create individual portions of your own. Less packaging is greener too. After you pack your lunch, give yourself a pat on the back. Yes, it's true, you are freakin' fantastic.
