With some loose Tightwad research, apparently the average person spends close to $600 a year on personal care products. But guess what? You may be overestimating how much you need to be effective. Apply this principle to your toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and facial moisturizer. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Very true. I have also taken to diluting my fabric softener and it still works like it should and I wind up with 2 bottles for the price of 1!
I squeeze every drop out of my lotions and beauty products that I can to save a few bucks. I literally will turn bottles upside down, take off the lid, and scrap as much out of them as possible. I've also diluted my facial cleanser when it gets to the end so that I make sure I use ALL of it!
