According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, the definition of the word frugal (a word that has been in circulation since 1590 btw) is: 'characterized by or reflecting economy in the use of resources.' Tightwad likes this. Being frugal is not the same as being cheap, miserly, stingy or general unsavoury penny pinching. Frugal living is about living well within your means and finding ways to spend less. To
use your money wisely and sparingly in all that one does in order to add quality to one's life in meaningful ways. Tightwad also thinks that being frugal is indelibly linked to living green; to use resources carefully and with consideration.
What's your definition of frugal?
