Five ways to save: energy in your kitchen

Make your kitchen a little greener everyday with these easy tips:

5. Reduce emissions by drinking and eating locally;
4. Use a toaster oven instead of the oven to reheat meals for one or two;
3. Eat meatless once a week;
2. Unplug kitchen appliances that have lights or timers, such as coffee makers and some toaster ovens, which draw power when not in use; and,
1. Use a household water filtration system instead of buying bottled water.

See... it's easy to save dough and be green in the kitchen, one little random Tightwad act of green at a time. What do you do to save money and live green in the kitchen?
