Do you have some candles that you never use because when it comes time to light them, they are too hard to reach? Grab some raw spaghetti and light one of those... this makes reaching those hard to reach candles really easy. This tip is also really handy if you have a lot of candles to light at once. Tightwad loves this idea - in fact, it looks like a seance over at her place right now.

You know what's so funny? I used to do this when I was a teenager and into candles...and I totally forgot about it! Thank you so much for this reminder to my aging brain! LOL

I'm not much for candles right at this moment since I have 4 young kids and 2 pups. So it kinda freaks me out to have candles around the house. But just wait till I become an empty nester, I'll be sure to get all nice and romantic with my candles once again, and I'll know how to turn them on now using your tip :)
