Happy Canada Day!

Today Tightwad is off to enjoy all sorts of classic Canadiana, including but not exclusively: beaver tails, the Tragically Hip, nice cold bottles of Sleeman's, some Bob and Doug, basketball, poutine, and, of course, the annual Canada Day Globe and Mail jumbo crossword. Actually some of this is true, like the Sleeman's, the Globe and the Tragically Hip, mixed in with some organic strawberry picking, ice cream, community celebrations at the park and bbq ribs with friends. Sounds good, eh?

Sound really good. I'm guessing real poutine is tough to find in Vancouver but you have the ocean! Happy Canada Day. I popped over from the blog hop.

would you please provide a recipe for poutine. I understand it's a staple for healthy kids in Quebec.
