Okay. I write a frugal blog. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like the finer things in life. Take handbags, for example. If you scrimp ‘n’ save your pennies by buying bulk, turning off your heat, delaying a hair appointment or brown bagging it five days a week, I think you definitely deserve to splurge once in a while. Plus it’s not like you won’t use something like a gorgeous handbag everyday. And believe it or not, there’s even thrifty options for a Tightwad gal who is salivating over the latest Balenciaga. (shout out to Gail V-O: I am not advocating credit card use here!). There are reputable second hand bag dealers on line, who specialize in finding last year’s must-haves a loving new home. And, anyone who’s a Sex and the City fan has heard of Bag Borrow or Steal, which is an online handbag rental site. How sweet a deal is that?

I'm on the fence about RENTING bags.
On the one hand, it saves money from not having to buy it.
On the other hand.. it seems like a waste of money for something you're lusting after but ultimately cannot keep...
Me, I'd just buy one really great bag and love it. Forever. Haha
Totally! I agree... you could even let it earn its keep with a little rental policy on it!
