This is a cool thing to do - it's quite a similar idea to Tightwad's posting on Bookcrossings. You can do it anywhere in the world and it’s FREE! Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is basically a worldwide game of treasure hide and seek, open to everyone. Geocaching is enjoyed by people of all ages, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache's existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS device can then try to locate the geocache – but you don’t necessarily need a GPS. Can you believe these stats: in the last 7 days, 685 benchmarks have been logged by 346 users. Overall, 12,9071 benchmarks have been recovered in 18,1181 logs. There are 1,047,069 active caches and an estimated 3-4 million geocachers worldwide. In the last 30 days, there have been 4,363,343 new logs submitted. Grrls........... grab your compass, some water and a map and bag you some geocaches!

The hubs and I love Geocaching. Have not done any yet since the weather started turning. Probably this weekend though.
I have been trying to reach via the contact section. Your advice on cash for cans etc will be very useful. Thanks
Hi, just found you through Tag-along Tuesday. We went Geocaching for the first time at the weekend with friends! It's such a great idea! My kids loved the treasure hunt, and even the leeches we encountered were considered exciting!!! Don't you just love the enthusiasm of kids!!
