Green clean

Cleaning with homemade cleaning suds not only will reduce the impact on your pocketbook, it will, in some small way, contribute to the health of our planet. With simple household items such as baking soda, white vinegar and lemons, you can whip up cleansers, deodorizers and scour power in little time with just a few pennies worth of product. If you are like me, going to buy cleaners is enough of a task anyway; with some many choices of suds vs scour, lavender or ocean breeze scented, it can be a little overwhelming. Going with green DIY product s will help to keep your house toxin free, your wallet fuller and free up space in your cupboards. Even people daunted by the need to boil water can follow this simple recipe for an all purpose cleaner. Get yourself a squeeze -type bottle and combine ¼ cup white vinegar, 1/8 cup baking soda and 1 litre of water et voila! You have yourself an inexpensive, green mean super duper all purpose cleaning agent ready to tackle everything from your kitchen sink to your stove top. All you need to do now is label this bad boy and roll up your sleeves.

Ooh! I am close to out on something I use in the bathroom and wanted to find an organic option. I am running out of time and didn;t want to replace with another cleaner. I will certainly have to do this. I have used baking soda and vinegar with good results before but never thought to put it in a spray bottle before. Duh!

I knew about the vinegar but didn't know about combining it with baking soda.

I'm off to buy a good spray bottle.

Oh... I'm using Cider Vinegar, and it's clearing my blemishes.

You, are an angel!
